Are you ready to make an appointment to discuss your cosmetic or reconstructive surgery needs?
An initial consult for cosmetic surgery procedures and complex reconstructive plastic surgery usually takes an hour. Other procedures need less time, and can therefore be fitted into our booking schedule more quickly. It is important that the staff are informed of the procedure/s you wish to discuss so that the appropriate amount of time is allowed and patient information folders are ready.
Full pre-payment via credit card is collected to secure your booking. If you are unable to attend, we will refund your consultation fee as long as we are provided with 48 hours notice. You will be sent a new patient medical information form that we require you to complete prior to attending your appointment.
We encourage you to read all of the appropriate information pages on our surgeon’s websites so that you are well informed before attending your procedure. Dr Gavin Sandercoe’s website has animated surgery videos at the bottom of the pages so that you can visualise what your surgeon needs to do.
Some procedures require in depth medical histories and review of your previous investigations. Please bring in any recent and relevant blood tests, X-rays or other imaging.
Before your appointment, take the time to consider what you want to achieve from your procedure. It is helpful if you attend your appointment with a list of questions of the things that are important to you. For some people, it may be hospital time, for others it may be the time to return to work or exercise. Other patients are more concerned about scar length, garments, pain control plan. Your questions will help your surgeon provide you with the information that is most important to you.
